Locating A Hotel In Derby Explored
I had to set about locating a hotel in Derby because I was going there to see the annual open air music festival at Derby Park one of the biggest festivals of its kind in the UK. With the small town obviously ready to be much more crowded than usual I started my search on the world wide web.
Derby is situated on the banks of the River Derwent and is to be found in the south of the ceremonial county of Derbyshire. It is a great little city with a fair share of museums, theatre, music venues and attractions such as the Derby Cathedral, Chatsworth House and Calke Abbey.
While going about locating a hotel in Derby I noticed that there is an extremely good selection of hotels at all levels from of-the-range 5 star, through self-catering and budget 1 and 2 star establishments. I felt like treating myself so reckoned on a good 4 star (5 star being somewhat out of my reach for the moment!). Firstly I made a list of all of the four star hotels in Derby. Then I narrowed it down to my favourites and visited each of those hotels own websites to locate the best deal. I ended up with a great business hotel that ran extra special specials over weekends (a good tip that business hotels tend to be situated in the business sectors of the city but are usually still convenient to most tourist sites and they often have great weekend specials).
If you really can’t afford to spend as much time as I did while locating a hotel Derby then simply use any good hotel comparison website or, easier still, decide on your budget and give the Derby tourist board a ring and ask for their recommendation they are very friendly and will steer you in the right direction.
